Ordnance Survey Building, Emmen, Netherlands

Hidden mirror-objects reflect sunlight onto the back wall of a light well and also onto suspenden white panels. The reflected images change with position of the sun.


Wall and suspended panels are white. Colours are light reflections, caused by red and blue mirror objects out of sight.

Title:  Light Installations in two light wells

Description: At the Ordnance Survey building, Emmen The Netherlands. A regular maze of corridors encloses the centrally located printing department. In the corridors daylight enters through three-story-high light wells. Daylight and sunlight penetrating the light wells is reflected by red-end-blue mirror objects to cause
changing daylight images at the wall and at four 10-metre-long suspended white panels.
